How To Work From Home and Make Money

For those of you who are just meeting me…I live in Central New York with my husband and 2 children. My daughter is 3 years old & my son is one year and 2 months. I have been working from home for the past ten years, but recently I have started working exclusively online. I have been swamped and overwhelmed many times & I would like to help you avoid some of the pitfalls that I stumbled into!
The idea of working from home is very appealing to many people. If you thrive on office gossip & water cooler talk, you may find working at home difficult. The most important thing you need to be successful when working at home is a schedule. You need to set times when you are going to work & stick to them. There are millions of distractions at home that are not present in an office setting (ie..Laundry, cleaning, shopping, talking on the phone, television, personal business on your computer.) The other thing I recommend is a good comfortable chair or else you will get “work butt”. It is not pleasant, but if you have sat in an uncomfortable chair for a while you know what I am talking about!
Next you want to find a good lead generating system. I have asked and been asked “What is the best lead generation system?” The answer is quite simple. The best lead generating system that works all the time is…one that you like and are comfortable promoting. You do want to make sure there is a lead capture page (a place people fill in their personal information before they can get the information you are sharing). Please feel free to look at a few of the systems I use, they are located on the right hand side of the screen.
Once you have a lead generator in place you should consider an auto responder. Auto Responders are great tools that save tons of time! Once leads are entered into it from your system, emails are sent to them automatically. In addition, you can send messages to your entire list with just a few keystrokes. The auto responder is a great time saving tool, and a must for any internet marketer & list builder!
The last piece you will need to put in place is advertising. This can be very overwhelming, but it is really quite simple! You will want to find a few list builders, ad exchanges and traffic exchanges that you like. I have listed a few that I like on my resource page.
Well this is a starting point. Remember we all went to years of school before we were able to read and write, we had to learn the basics. Marketing online is is the same, cut yourself some slack. When you start to feel overwhelmed you are probably trying to do too much at once.
